From Zimbabwe's First Wave of ISPs to a Full-Stack Technology Partner
Africom was incorporated in 1995, emerging from Zimbabwe's first wave of commercial internet service providers. Within its first decade, the company earned a Class A POTRAZ Internet Access Provider (IAP) licence — the highest regulatory designation for connectivity infrastructure in Zimbabwe.
By 2000, Africom had become the Government of Zimbabwe's Private WAN partner — a relationship that has endured for 26 consecutive years, spanning district-level kiosks, national hospitals, and the National Data Centre. This long-term government mandate anchored Africom's evolution beyond connectivity into managed ICT services, enterprise software, and cybersecurity.
Today, Africom operates across five integrated service pillars: Enterprise Connectivity, Enterprise Voice, EasyBiz Digital Business OS, Cybersecurity, and ICT Sourcing & Managed Services — all delivered under a single SLA from one accountable team.
